VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Virginia Beach Police need help locating a man wanted in connection to a burglary along Queen Mary Court in 2011.
Tonya Borman with the Virginia Beach Police Department said officers were searching for Steven Joseph Hirko, 23. Hirko is wanted on several charges stemming from a burglary in the 2000 block of Queen Mary Court on March 13, 2011.
According to police, Hirko and three other suspects tried to break into the home, but failed. They four then shot numerous rounds into the home and a chemical agent was also released into the home.
The three additional suspects have already been arrested. No one was injured in the incident.
Hirko is wanted for felony illegal use of gases, discharging a firearm into an occupied dwelling, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, breaking and entering with intent to commit a felony and conspiracy to commit a felony.
Hirko is described as a white male standing 5’7” and weighing 150 pounds. He has brown eyes, brown hair and very distinctive tattoos. Police say Hirko has the word ‘LIFE’ on his left hand, ‘HIRKO’ on his right arm and ‘STEVEN’ on his left arm.
