CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - Chesapeake Police are asking for the public’s help to figure out who shot and killed a 24-year-old Norfolk man as well as where the crime occurred.
Kelly O’Sullivan with the Chesapeake Police Department said 24-year-old Brandon Peller was taken to Chesapeake Regional Medical Center around 11:50 a.m. where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Peller suffered a gunshot wound to the neck.
The person who brought Peller to the hospital reportedly had no knowledge of how or when Peller had been shot. O’Sullivan said the man claims he found Peller in an unknown location, already shot.
Peller's mother, Monica Johnson told WAVY.com "he was fun loving, loved people, everybody loved him. He had a good head on his shoulders and he was just caring and giving."
She went on to say, "we're a strong family and we're going to get through this together. We just want anyone who knows anything, please, please call. You don't got to say your name. Please call. Find out who killed my baby."
Anyone with information about the shooting and subsequent death of Peller is asked to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
