Police: Man shot in calf

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Virginia Beach Police report one man has suffered a gunshot wound to his calf Tuesday evening.

According to Grazia Moyers with the Virginia Beach Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of Hummingbird Lane shortly before 9 p.m.

Moyers says the first call came from a person claiming someone broke into their home and heard a gunshot. A second call came in, this time alleging a man was shot in the leg.

Moyers says the scene does not appear to have been a break in and the victim's injuries were non-life-threatening. The suspect is described as a black man, standing 6'.
