HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) - Police say 23-year-old Davon Pierre Brooks is wanted for a shooting Thursday evening that left one man with possible life-threatening injuries.

According to Jason Price with the Hampton Police Division, the call came in around 9:15 p.m. to the first block of Pacific Drive. Price says the victim, a 42-year-old Hampton man, was found suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso.

Price says a verbal argument between the two men led to the shooting. The two men knew each other.

Brooks' last known address is the 2100 block of Victoria Boulevard. There are warrants on file for his arrest for a series of charges, including possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and aggravated malicious wounding.

Anyone with information on the shooting or Brooks' location is encouraged to call Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
