Man robbed in building's laundry room

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (WAVY) - Police say a man was robbed inside of a laundry room in his apartment building Tuesday.

According to Greg Riley with the Williamsburg Police Department, the incident occurred just after 1:30 p.m. at the Woodshire Apartment complex in the 100 block of Merrimac Trail.

Riley said the victim was accosted by the suspect who took an undisclosed amount of money from him and then fled from the scene.

The suspect is described as a black man, approximately 6 feet tall, wearing a white t-shirt, dark-colored jeans and a black rag on his head during the incident.
