NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) - A man who allegedly hid behind a vehicle and pointed a loaded weapon at a group of people in Newport News Sunday has been arrested.
According to Harold Eley with the Newport News Police Department, a 20-year-old witness had reported seeing a man hiding behind a parked vehicle at 26th Street and Parish Avenue and pointing a gun at a group of five people standing close by.
Eley says when the group ran away, the man brandishing a firearm had run to the 1400 block of 26th Street. Police say the witness had given police the suspect's description which led to the arrest of 22-year-old Terrance Ronell Lindsey.
Eley says police arrested and charged Lindsey with brandishing a firearm, carrying a concealed weapon as a convicted felon, stolen property and two counts of possession of ammunition and firearm by a convicted felon.
