Man holds up Chuck E. Cheese in Hampton

HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) - Hampton Police are investigating a robbery at a local Chuck E. Cheese and need the public’s help to identify a suspect.

According to Sgt. Jason Price with the Hampton Police Division, an unknown black male approached an employee of Chuck E. Cheese located in the first block of Town Center Way as they were entering the building around 8 a.m. The suspect displayed a firearm and forced the employee into the restaurant, where he demanded money.

The suspect was able to flee from the back of the business on foot after obtaining an undisclosed amount of money. No other employees or patrons were inside the business at the time of the robbery. The victim was not injured.

Price said the suspect is described as having a medium complexion and standing 5’8” to 6’. He is between 150 to 180 pounds and is believed to be in his early 20s. He was last seen wearing a dark jacket, a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark pants and his face was covered by a red cloth.
