VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - A 21-year-old Virginia Beach man was found guilty by a jury Wednesday for his role in a 2011 home invasion.

According to Macie Pridgen with the Virginia Beach Commonwealth's Attorney, Trey Djuan McNair was found guilty on three counts of armed robbery, three counts of use of firearm, one count of wearing a mask and one count of conspiracy.

The trial lasted two days and the jury recommended McNair, who has prior convictions for assault and robbery, serve 28 years and two months in prison.

Pridgen says McNair, Andrew Olds and two other men entered a home in the College Park section of Virginia Beach on the afternoon of July 3, 2011. McNair, donning a towel over his face, demanded cell phones from two people in the basement of the home while Olds and the other two men went to an upstairs bedroom and at gunpoint, demanded property from two other victims.

During McNair's incident, the towel he used as a mask fell down, at which point the victims were able to see his face. Olds was recognized by one of his victims. The four men got away with cell phones, electronics and marijuana.

McNair was arrested Nov. 10 after going into hiding.

Olds is serving an 8-year prison sentence and was charged with two counts of armed robbery, two counts of use of firearm, one count of wearing a mask and one count of conspiracy.

The juvenile also pleaded guilty to two counts of armed robbery, conspiracy and use of a firearm and was committed to the Department of Juvenile Justice.
