HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) - A man has been sentenced to 128 years and 1 day in prison for a violent home invasion that occurred in the early morning hours Sept. 11, 2010.
Robert King Via, Jr. of Poquoson was sentenced in Hampton Circuit Court Thursday on charges of robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, attempted robbery, four counts of abduction, seven counts of use of firearm in felony and one count of breaking and entering with intent to commit a felony.
Via was one of three men arrested in connection with the invasion of a Hampton home in the 800 block of Arlington Terrace. Via, Reginald Christopher Jones and Samuel Goodwin Sanchez.
A relative told 10 On Your Side off-camera following the incident the three men pointed a gun at his grandfather while they robed him.
Officials said all three were armed with handguns.
