SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - A woman says she was forced to have sex with a man she just met, or he said he was going to kill her.
Police were called to the 100 block of North 5th Street just after 1 a.m. on Oct. 13, in reference to a rape. According to Suffolk police spokeswoman Diana Klink, the victim told the officer she had been raped earlier. The woman said she is from out of the area and was visiting a friend on South 10th Street. Around 10 p.m. she left her friend's house and while walking she met a man named "Tony". The two hung out for a while, then she says "Tony's" brother took her back to her friend's house where she picked up a bag, then they returned to the house where "Tony" was waiting. When she rejected "Tony's" request to have sex, the victim says he pointed to a rifle on the wall and told her he would kill her if she didn't have sex with him.
The victim walked back to her friend's house where she called police.
The victim led police to Godwin Boulevard, where officers arrested Linton Felton, 48, and charged him with abduction and kidnapping, rape, forcible sodomy, possession of marijuana and use/display of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
