Former officer faces child porn charges

PORTSMOUTH, Va. - A former Portsmouth Police officer charged with sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl back in December is now facing child porn charges as well.

According to court documents obtained by WAVY.com, Ewing now faces three federal counts of Possessing Child Pornography.

It appears the images were found on two hard drives and one thumb drive owned by Ewing.

Ewing remains on administrative leave, pending the outcome of an investigation.
