NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Four Portsmouth residents were indicted by a federal grand jury in a Methylone (MDMA) conspiracy to bring the drug into the US from China and distribute it in Virginia.

According to Peter Carr with the U.S. Attorney's Office, Timothy S. Moore, Jr., 27, Carlone E. Taylor, 24, Angelia Walke, 44 and Brett C. Walsh, 22 were indicted on charges of conspiring to possess with the intent to distribute MDMA, a Schedule I controlled substance.

Court documents state Moore and Taylor had been ordering MDMA from a Chinese lab over the internet while Walke received the packages. The indictment states Taylor and Moore would then wholesale the drugs to Walsh for redistribution.

Moore, Taylor and Walke were charged with conspiracy to import MDMA and using a communication facility to commit importation.

Taylor and Moore are also charged with possessing approximately 1.5 kg of MDMA Oct. 24 with the intent to distribute.

Walsh was charged Oct. 7 for possessing more than 86 grams of MDMA with intent to distribute.

All of the drug charges carry a maximum penalty of 20 years in prison each, and the communication facility charge carries a penalty of up to four years in prison.
