ACCOMACK COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) - Virginia State Police believe a fire in the Oak Hall area of the Eastern Shore Sunday is yet another arson and are investigating a second early Monday.
Sgt. Michelle Anaya with the Virginia State Police said the first fire sparked in the 30000 block of Withams Road Sunday at an abandoned home. Arson is suspected.
The second fire occurred around 1:45 a.m. Monday at the intersection of Hope and Dennis Drive in Accomack County. A structure suffered minor property damage. The fire has not yet been ruled arson, however, there is a criminal investigation at this time.
More than two dozen fires have been set in the Accomack County region since Nov. 12. Troopers are working to determine if all the fires are connected and set by the same person.
Anyone with information should contact Virginia State Police.
