VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Police say two men walked out of Best Buy store with cell phones, and on their way out, assaulted two employees.
According to Jimmy Barnes with the Virginia Beach Police Department, employees of the Best Buy store located in the 200 block of Independence Boulevard saw two men placing cell phones from the store's displays into their pockets.
Barnes said the employees then attempted to stop the two men at the store's exit, asking them to give back the phones.
One of the suspects then cut one employee with a box cutter or knife and the second suspect pushed the other employee out of his way, according to police. The suspects then walked out of the sotre without incident and were seen getting into a maroon SUV.
Barnes said the first suspect is described as a black man in his 30s, between 5'8" and 5'9", weighing between 160 and 170 pounds, wearing a black and red jacket and a green flannel shirt.
The second suspect is described as a black man in his 30s, 6'1" tall, weighing approximately 200 pounds, wearing dark clothing and a hat during the incident.
