POQUOSON, Va. (WAVY) - A 19-year-old woman who works at an assisted living facility is accused of feeding a 99-year-old hospice patient a crushed pill to put him to sleep last month, according to Poquoson police.
Julie Ann Fisher, of Charles Parish Drive in Poquoson was arrested Tuesday and charged with one count of adulterating food with the intent to kill or injure, police said.
The charge is a class three felony, which carries a sentence of at least five and up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
Fisher is being held at the Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail on $2,000 bond.
