NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) - Police say an unknown armed suspect walked into an 86-year-old man's home and robbed him of his wallet.

According to Harold Eley with the Newport News Police Department, the suspect entered the victim's home in the 200 block of Tyler Avenue shortly before noon Friday through a screen door, announced the robbery, took the victim's wallet and fled on foot.

The suspect got away with the man's cash, credit cards and personal papers. The victim was not harmed.

Eley says the suspect is described as a thin black man between 18 and 20 years old, standing between 5'5" and 5'8". At the time of the crime, the suspect was wearing a dark blue shirt and dark pants.
