VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - A Virginia Beach jury deliberated for hours Friday, but never reached a unanimous decision on the sentencing for a man charged in a deadly 2008 DUI, forcing the judge to declare a mistrial.
Police say Cameron Crockett was behind the wheel when he hit a tree on Wolfsnare Road. His friend, John "Jack" Korte was a passenger in that crash and died.
Crockett was subsequently charged with Aggravated Involuntary Manslaughter, DUI and Driving without a License. He was found guilty of the charges earlier this year.
A new trial date has not yet been set.
