Credit union robbery suspect identified

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Norfolk Police have identified a man wanted for robbing a credit union on New Year’s Eve.

Karen Parker-Chesson with the Norfolk Police Department said the Chartway Federal Credit Union located at 4702 Hampton Blvd. was robbed by a man police have identified as Charles Moody Compton.

Compton, 21, is described as a white male with short hair and facial hair.

Anyone with information as to where he might be is asked to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
