SUFFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - The New China restaurant, located on Burnetts Way in Suffolk, was robbed at gunpoint Thursday at around 10 p.m., city spokesperson Debbie George told WAVY.com.
A lone subject entered the restaurant displayed a handgun and robbed the business, George said. The suspect has been described as a black male, approximately 6 feet tall, covering his head, and wearing a black and white hoodie top.
Four employees and a couple of children were inside the business at the time of the robbery, George continued. No one was injured.
The suspect got away with an unknown amount of money.
