VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Chesapeake Sheriff's Deputy Kenneth Stolle, Jr. was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and hit and run, according to police.

Stolle was arrested at 9:45 p.m. Wednesday in the 4600 block of Virginia Beach Blvd., according to Grazia Moyers with the Virginia Beach Police Department.

Moyers says Stolle had struck another car and left the scene shortly after 9 p.m., then parked in the Pembroke Mall parking lot where he was taken into custody. He has worked with the Chesapeake Sheriff's Office for nearly two years and is currently out on bond.

Stolle, 26, is the son of Virginia Beach Sheriff and former state senator Ken Stolle and has been placed on administrative leave, according to the Chesapeake Sheriff's Office.

If convicted, Stolle could have his driver's license taken away for one year.
