VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - The former bookkeeper with a Virginia Beach law firm now needs her own attorney.

Diana Farmer-Forston is currently behind bars charged with 16 counts of forgery and money laundering.

Detectives said she was a former employee at Bennett and Zydon.

According to search warrants, Farmer-Forston deposited the money into her own accounts.

Police said over the last 14 months, she took more than $320,000.
