VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - A Virginia Beach barber shop was robbed at gunpoint in April, now police are asking for your help finding the suspect.

On April Fool's Day, at around 6 p.m., Investigators say an armed suspect entered a barber shop located in the 600 block of Newtown Road and ordered everyone to the ground. After stealing from both the employees and the customers, the suspect fled from the business.

The suspect has been described as a black male, 5-foot-6-inches to 5-foot-9-inches tall, with a slim build and a full beard. He appeared to be in his late 20s to early 30s, according to police. He was last seen wearing dark colored pants, a white ball cap, and what appeared to be tan work boots. He was armed with a black framed handgun and a black shoulder bag.

If you have any information that could help police in this case, call Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
