Attempted robbery suspect sought in VB

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Police are looking for an attempted robbery suspect they say tried to rob the Dollar Tree store located in the 1900 blk. of Lynnhaven Parkway in Virginia Beach.

According to police, the suspect demanded money from the clerk at around 1 p.m. on July 19. However, the suspect left empty handed.

Police say no one was injured in the incident.

Surveillance video shows the suspect walking into the store. He's described as a black male with a dark complexion, possibly in his forties, 6-foot-3-inches tall and 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap, dark sunglasses, black T-shirt with some type of graphic on the front, long blue sports shorts and black sneakers.
