VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Police say a man armed with a handgun robbed a Virginia Beach bank Friday morning is still on the run.
According to Tonya Borman with the Virginia Beach Police Department, the suspect entered the BB&T Bank at 930 First Colonial Rd. just before noon Dec. 14.
Borman says the suspect displayed a note to a teller, showed a handgun and demanded money. The teller gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect then left.
The suspect is described as a black male, standing more than 6'0" tall and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, jeans, white tennis shoes and black sunglasses at the time of the robbery.
