VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Virginia Beach fire officials have arrested three teens in connection to an arson at a local park Saturday night.

Battalion Chief Riley with the Virginia Beach Fire Department told WAVY.com the three teens are ages 13 and 14. Their names will not be released.

Riley said the teens created $60,000 in damage to the park and have been charged with trespassing, conspiracy and arson. They were released to their parents.

Coventry Neighborhood Park closed Monday afternoon until further notice because of damage sustained by the fire.

The park, located at 4757 Ardmore Lane, will remain closed until it is safe to be used again.
