$50K race car stolen in Chesapeake

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - Chesapeake Police are searching for the person responsible for stealing a $50,000 race car.

Kelly O’Sullivan with the Chesapeake Police Department said the 1989 red Ford Mustang was stolen sometime between 11 p.m. Dec. 1 and 6 p.m. Dec. 18. The Mustang was stolen along with the trailer it was on.

The report indicated the items were stolen from Elizabeth River Storage located at 1500 Shipyard Rd.

Further information was not immediately available. Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
