NEWPORT NEWS, Va. (WAVY) - Newport News Police have arrested a second suspect in connection to a home invasion on Oct. 14.
Lou Thurston with the Newport News Police Department said officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Pavilion Drive for a report of a home invasion. The victim said a male suspect forced his way inside and made the victim lie on the floor in a bed room.
According to Thurston, an investigation revealed one of the suspects as Kenesha Renee Smith of Hampton. She was arrested at her home without incident.
Smith has been charged with two counts of burglary, two counts of robbery and two counts of abduction.
A second suspect, Nakia Durham, was identified and arrested, according to Officer Richard Santel with the Newport News Police Department. Durham, 19, has been charged with robbery, two counts of conspiracy to commit a felony and two counts of burglary.
