PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - Police say 11 men were arrested and four are still wanted following a "Snowman" narcotics operation in Portsmouth.
According to Jan Clark with the Portsmouth Police Department, the indictments were handed down by a Grand Jury March 7.
The indictments came after following an investigation by the Special Investigations Unit that began looking into street-level drug distribution in January 2013.
Clark said distributors in several Portsmouth neighborhoods were targeted after evidence of cocaine, marijuana and heroin was found.
The dealers were found working in the Southside, Prentis Park, Prentis Place, Cradock, Douglass Park and Port Norfolk neighborhoods.
