CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. (AP) - The state Department of Education is investigating allegations of standardized testing violations at Eastern Montgomery High School.
Walt Shannon, Montgomery County's interim superintendent, said education department officials spoke with administrators and teachers last week and reviewed the past three years worth of Standards of Learning testing data, curriculum information and schedules.
Education department spokesman Charles Pyle said possible infractions earlier this year involved students being improperly excluded from SOL testing during the 2006-07 and 2007-08 school years.
Shannon said he plans to make public the Department of Education's report when it comes out, redacting specific names if they appear.
