VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. - A generosity of spirit in Hampton Roads is making a young boy's final wish come true.
11-year-old Brenden Foster of Seattle died of Leukemia on Friday, but before he passed on he had one last wish -- to feed the homeless.
For the past two days, April Sauro of Virginia Beach has held a food drive in Brenden's honor.
"We got more canned beans," said Sauro. "Someone is going to have some stew tonight."

"There is a lot of people for the holidays that don't have food," added Sauro.
It's for a boy she never met.
"We might needanotherr drop off," said Sauro.
A boy who lived on the other side of the country.
"He had lukemia and he died Friday," added Sauro.
And he had only one dying wish.
"All he wanted was to feed the homeless," said Sauro.
Sauro saw 11-year-old Brenden Foster's story on the news. So moved by his message, she wanted to help. She's doing what people all over the country are doing, fulfilling Brenden's last wish. They're also fighting for Brenden the way he fought in his final days.
"I had a great time and until my time has come, I'm going to keep having a good time," said Foster.
That time ended last Friday when Brenden passed away, but his wish carries on.
"I might be here all night," said Sauro.
And into the night the donations kept coming.
"This was a little boy who could have had anything in the world, but all he wanted was food for the homeless," added Sauro.
Every little bit keeps a little boy's memory alive.
"Follow your dreams," added Foster. "Don't let anything stop
you."
Sauro says she doesn't plan to stop here. She wants to make her food drive a yearly event.
