Gas prices fall 3 cents in RI

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Gasoline prices in Rhode Island have fallen by three cents per gallon in the past week.

AAA Southern New England said Monday the average cost of a gallon of regular in the state is $3.75, down from $3.78 last week.

Prices in Rhode Island have fallen four cents in the last month. The current price is seven cents above the per-gallon national average of $3.68.

The average cost of a gallon of gas a year ago at this time in Rhode Island was $3.81.
