NORFOLK, Va. - WAVY.com has learned Norfolk Police Chief Bruce Marquis plans to recommend disciplinary action against the officer who used his stun gun on a disabled woman, known as the "hula hoop lady," last month.
Police say officer Nick Parks originally approached Pamela Brown after receiving a noise complaint.
When Brown started yelling, officer Parks put one of her arms in handcuffs, then used his Taser.
We're told Parks will not lose his job.
Chief Marquis ordered training for all officers on how and when to use their stun guns.
