HAMPTON ROADS, VA - The "48 Hour Film Project" is coming to Hampton Roads August 7 - 9! Aspiring filmmakers will have their chance at a screening at Norfolk's Naro Exanded Cinema -- and more.
Registration is now open for teams wishing to participate in the project. Entry is on a first come, first served basis and space is limited. So, if you think you have what it takes, enter TODAY.
The 48 Hour Film Project is the first and biggest timed film competition in the world. This year the project will visit over 70 cities around the world.
So what do you need to do? Get a team together and register. You'll be given a genre, a character, a prop, a line of dialogue -- and only 48 hours to complete your film. By 7 p.m. Sunday, you're teams film must be complete and turned in.
The film awarded "Best of City" by the judging panel will represent Hampton Roads at the 48 Hour Film Project's Filmapalooza in Las Vegas. You're film will also be entered to win additional prizes, including $3,000 cash and the opportunity to be screened at the Cannes International Film Festival in May 2010.
