WILLIAMSBURG - The College of William and Mary¹s football program
announced this afternoon that quarterback Mike Paulus has
transferred into the College and will be enrolled in classes this
coming January.
Paulus, a native of Syracuse, N.Y., came out of Christian
Brothers Academy as one of the more heralded scholastic
quarterbacks in the nation, and was ranked the No. 1 player in New
York by SuperPrep and was the state's Gatorade Player of the Year.
He is transferring into the Tribe program from the University
of North Carolina, where he saw limited playing time over the past
two seasons, after redshirting for the 2007 season. Paulus will
have two years of eligibility remaining for William and Mary.
The Tribe will enter the 2010 season fresh off one of the
most successful campaigns in school history, as the College posted
an 11-3 record, made an appearance in the National Semi-Finals and
finished as high as third in the final Football Championship Series
polls.
