VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Two people were seriously hurt Saturday in an accident in Virginia Beach, according to police.
Just before 9 p.m., a Ford Explorer rolled into a field while trying to negotiate an "S" curve on Morris Neck road.
The vehicle came to rest upright in a roadway ditch.
Police tell wavy.com that both people in the vehicle were women in their 20's.
Nightengale Air Ambulance took one victim to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.
The other victim was taken to Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital.
Speed and alcohol appear to be factors to the crash.
