NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - Despite looming budget cuts, the USS Eisenhower is set to deploy Thursday.

Nearly 4,500 sailors will leave Naval Station Norfolk and Naval Station Mayport, Fla. to support the Navy's 5th and 6th Fleets.

The Eisenhower returned three months early in December from a 6-month deployment to address critical maintenance. Crews were aware they would be deploying again this month.

Tune in to WAVY News 10 Thursday for full coverage of the deployment.
