VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Tidewater Community College will hold a grand opening ceremony for its new Center for Military and Veterans Education Monday.
The center, located at the Virginia Beach campus at 1700 College Crescent, will provide support and educational services for the 14,000 military-related students at TCC. The ceremony will include remarks and a flag-folding ceremony to observe Veterans Day.
“We are proud to observe Veterans Day and honor our military and their families,” TCC President Edna Baehre-Kolovani said. “And we are pleased to provide active duty military service members, veterans and their families a dedicated resource to serve all of their education needs.”
The center will include staff and advisors specially trained for military-related students.
The event will take place at 1 p.m.
