VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - A Virginia Beach school took a break from the books to give thanks to veterans on Thursday morning.
Students at King's Grant Elementary School gathered for a Veterans Day breakfast to recognize loved ones who once served.
Organizers say it's a good way to teach the students about the importance of those who serve.
The breakfast ended with a chorus singing, "You are the Heroes."
