PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - A sailor aboard USS Truman died April 18, 2012. The cause of death is under investigation by NCIS.
Operations Specialist Seaman Kevin DeShazo, of Granbury, Texas, was 20 years old, according to Cmdr. Phil Rosi with AIRLANT public affairs.
Rosi says DeShazo had been assigned to the Truman since April 25, 2010 and enlisted in the Navy on Nov. 19, 2009.
USS Harry S. Truman is undergoing maintenance at Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Portsmouth.
