Restaurants raise money for Navy SEALs

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) - Thirteen Oceanfront restaurants are coming together for a fundraiser for the Navy SEAL Foundation on Friday.

On September 18, participating restaurants between Rudee's and Rockafeller's Restaurant will be be raising money as a way to help the families of those who lost loved ones when a Chinook helicopter crashed in Afghanistan killing 30 U.S. servicemembers .

Participating restaurants include Rudee’s, Rockafeller’s, Big Sam’s, Waterman’s, Lendy’s, Clutch, 15th Street Raw Bar, Boneshakers, Ice House, Todd Jurich’s Burger Bar, South Beach Grill, CP Shuckers and Beach Bully.

The fundraiser will take place from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased in advance for $25, or at the door for $30. Kids 12 and under are free.

A news release about the fundraiser said each ticket will include all-you-can-eat barbecue and live music.
