Military-used generators built locally

CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - A Chesapeake company is helping to save lives and reduce energy costs for troops serving in remote areas of Afghanistan and other parts of the world.
The Assistant Secretary of Defense for Operation Energy Programs was in Chesapeake Monday, explaining how much energy the generators they build can save and how much fuel consumption they can reduce.
"On average taking a generator that runs 24-hours a day, now it runs four to six hours a day," said Doug Moorehead, President of Earl Energy.
