CHESAPEAKE, Va. (WAVY) - A classic military jeep is helping to raise money for a good cause.
Kangaroo Express and the USO teamed up for the Salute Our Troops Foundation .
Together, they're hosting a three day tour to raise a million dollars for Wounded Warriors and the State National Guard Foundation.
They're in Chesapeake until Monday and welcome anyone that wants to donate or come by to thank the troops.
"We can't let up. We'd like to keep it going to see how far we could go," said Tim McGinn, with Salute Our Troops. "USO and Hampton Roads has really stepped up and helped us out. They didn't have to come out here but they did, and they've gone out of their way to get people to come out and say thank you."
The campaign already surpassed its $1 million goal, but organizers say they'll continue to raise money.
