PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - Hampton Roads and the nation continue to remember the fallen servicemembers.

Two memorial services were held Sunday for Navy SEALs killed in the helicopter attack and crash in Afghanistan.

Friends and family members honored the memory of Chief Petty Officer Brian Robert Bill in a service in Connecticut.

The 31-year-old was one of the 30 military special ops killed when their helicopter was shot down by Taliban insurgents.

Bill was buried at Arlington National Cemetery.

Folks also gathered to remember Navy SEAL Aaron Carson Vaughn in Tennessee this weekend.

Friends, family, and people from his hometown in northwestern Tennessee came together at Obion County High School to honor the man's life.

Vaughn was 30 years old and friends say he was a brave and courageous man who loved God.

He was based in Virginia Beach.
