NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - USS Iwo Jima and USS New York returned home Thursday morning.
The Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group is now home. USS Iwo Jima and USS New York returned Thursday while USS Gunston Hall returned home to Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story Tuesday.
This marks the end of the first deployment for USS New York.

The Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group was deployed in support of maritime security operations in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of responsibility.
