Eisenhower, strike group to deploy

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) will depart Naval Station Norfolk on June 20.

The carrier strike group deploying (IKE CSG) consists of destroyers USS Winston S. Churchill (DDG 81) and USS Jason Dunham (DDG 109).

Guided-missile cruiser USS Hue City (CG 66) and guided-missile destroyer USS Farragut (FFG 99) are deploying Naval Station Mayport in Florida June 20 also as part of the IKE CSG.

IKE CSG consists of Carrier Strike Group 8, embarked Carrier Air Wing 7 and embarked Destroyer Squadron 28, in addition to Churchill, Dunham, Hue City and Farragut.
