PORTSMOUTH, Va. (AP) - A Coast Guard cutter is back in Portsmouth following a two-month deployment in the Caribbean Sea.
The Coast Guard says the crew of the Legare seized $56 million worth of cocaine from a fishing vessel during the deployment.
On its way to the Caribbean, the Legare took a detour through the lower Mississippi River Delta to help with the response to Hurricane Isaac .
The 270-foot medium endurance cutter returned to Portsmouth on Wednesday.
