PORTSMOUTH, Va. (WAVY) - A 47-year-old man was medevaced by the Coast Guard 200 miles east of the Chesapeake Bay.
According to a news release, the man was abroad a 780-foot cargo ship Horizon Trader. Just after 2 p.m. Wednesday, Horizon Trader crew members contacted the Coast Guard, saying a man was suffering from chest injuries from a fall.
The man was rescued two hours later by an MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter and an HC-130 Hercules aircraft.
