Big homecomings scheduled for Navy

NORFOLK, Va. (WAVY) - The USS Fort McHenry, USS Carr and USS McFaul are scheduled to return to port during the next few days.
McHenry will be returning to Virginia Beach Friday, Nov. 30. Guided missile destroyer McFaul and guided missile frigate Carr will be returning to Naval Station Norfolk Monday, Dec. 2 and Dec. 3, respectively.
The crew of McHenry spent five months deployed in the Eastern Atlantic, Mediterranean and Black seas, responding to the Libya crisis in September.

Carr will be returning from its last deployment. The crew assisted two vessels in distress and supported Operation Martillo, a partner nation mission targeting Central American isthmus trafficking routes. The crew interceded and disrupted cocaine operations.
Carr is scheduled to be decommissioned March 13, 2013 and was commissioned July 1985.
McFaul deployed in February 2012 and responded to the Libya crisis this fall. It was commissioned in 1998.
