Injured veterans on a cross-country bike ride are stopped at the Marine Corps War Memorial in Arlington, Va., Tuesday night as they make their way from San Francisco to Virginia Beach.

The veterans visited the memorial for the retiring of the colors ceremony. They hope to finish their 4,000 mile, 63-day ride on Saturday.

The 'Sea to Shining Sea" ride organizers say participants wanted to motivate others and honor service men and women. The riders include former U.S. Ambassador to Iraq Jerry Bremer and Marc Esposito, who was discharged from Walter Reed last year after he survived an IED attack in a mountain pass in Afghanistan.

The group left San Francisco on May 22nd.  Their route has taken them through California, Nevada, Utah, Colorado, Nebraska, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Washington DC, and Virginia.
