FORT BRAGG, N.C. (AP) - A military helicopter from Fort Bragg is damaged after making an emergency landing in a field near Linden.
A spokeswoman with the 82nd Airborne Division says the helicopter crew was forced to land due to mechanical problems around 1 p.m. on Thursday. Maj. Virginia McCabe says the two crew members were not injured. Officials are now investigating the incident.
The helicopter is based at Simmons Army Airfield.
